Thy Kingdom Come

I was reading a devotional this morning and got really inspired. It was talking about how we need to allow God's Kingdom to rule ours. When Jesus was telling His disciples to pray, "The Kingdom Come," He was telling them to pray, "Jesus, be the authority in my life today." How many times do we wake up and start our day withouth asking God to be with us and guide us? I know.....it's easy to do. We have so much to accomplish each day. To do list on top of to do list. But, the more we involved God in our day (and in our to do list), the more He will to lead us. As we allow Him to lead us and guide us, life is much more smooth. But....this will only happen if we pray, "Jesus, be the authority in my life today."

The only way to be able to pray, "They Kingdom come," we must be willing to pray, "my kingdom go." - Alan Redpath

What a powerful thought! I can't have God's Kingdom ruling me until I have my kingdom under submission. My thoughts, my desires, my agenda, my ways, whatever I want; it has to be under submission. Once that happens, your kingdom becomes God's Kingdom and that's where He wants to live.

Have a blessed week!
