We are right in the middle of our annual School Wars. Last night....WOW!!! God showed up and we responded. Two young people recieved the Gift of the Holy Spirit and many were blessed as we were reminded and challenged about Heaven and hell. Last night was a life-changing experience.
Our theme this year for School Wars is X-Virtual. We live in a society that is full of fake-ness. No one wants to be who they really are. A lot of our world is Virtual. Virtual is Fake....Virtual is pretend...Virtual is living the life of something or someone in which we are not. God is calling this generation to raise up and BE what He needs us to BE....that is REAL!
Last night's service theme was "Back to the Future". We were reminded that Heaven and hell are real places and everyone is going to one of those at the end of their life. Christian Harris shared his testimony and real life stories about his past. Peter Marratto shared the step-by-step experience of his sister's passing. At the end we were all reminded that we do really have a choice of were we will end up. It's in our day-to-day decisions and lifestyel choices. We were also reminded that we may be the only person that will reach our friends. If we don't share Christ with them, who will?
It is so important that we live an X-Virtual lifestyle. A lifesyle against what the world promotes. We don't have to be fake llike a lot of people around us. God is looking for REAL people.
Next week, the service theme will be "Stop Fakin'. Without giving away all the details, you can probably see the direction that will be going. But, to really find out the way the service will go, you have to be there. I will give an update when that service is finished.
